Top Teams Tumble Week 3

This week in the NFL four games truly surprised me.  The first game will come as no surprise to my readers.  The Saints and Falcons.  I agree with the team when they say if they executed better throughout the game that it wouldn't have come to that situation.  But isn't the kicker there just in case it does come to that.  And shouldn't a kicker in the NFL who gets paid to kick all day everyday be able to make a 29 yard field goal.  Now the Saints say they are going to pick up another  kicker but keep Hartley as well.  This is not the right choice, Hartley has missed three field goals already this year and none of them were really far away.  In short a kicker is paid ta kick so please a message to all NFL kickers don't miss 29 yarders it shines a bad light on kickers everywhere.  On to my next week three upset.  The Redskins fall to the Rams.  In a recent blog I picked the Redskins as my wild card team in the NFL which meant I would keep an eye on them and they could make a move late in the season.  I still hold true to that statement because what I saw against the Rams really didn't scare me.  The St. Louis Rams for the first time in three seasons actually executed the game plan and had a remarkable game.  The Rams are not going to have this type of performance week in and week out.  The Redskins could have done a way better job throughout the game but I believe they just got the Rams in a breakout game.  In short I still believe the Redskins will impress this season and the Rams are still terrible.  The third game that surprised me is Dallas and Houston.  I know you have heard me say that Houston is the second best team in the league, so I am not going to try and defend Houston.  They flat out got beat by the Cowboys.  Dallas realized that they could not fall to 0-3 and needed a win desperately.  The Texans lights out offense did not show up to the game.  I don't expect this to happen a whole lot this year but its scary for Texans fans when you play like that.  In short Cowboys your not going to play the Superbowl in your stadium this year get that pipe dream out of your head, AND PLEASE EVERYONE STOP TALKING ABOUT IT.  Dallas sucks, Jerry Jones sucks, Wade Phillips sucks, and Tony Romo sucks.  Time for some house cleaning at the end of the year.  Texans your fine but I cant say your the second best team anymore.  Finally the last team ta tumble in week 3 is.....drum roll please.....................Da Bears and Da Packers.  Why did the Packers lose you ask lets take a look........Hmmmmm.....what could it be, what could it be..............HOW ABOUT 18 PENALTIES.  Green Bay that is just sad, you cant expect to win any games doing that.  They might as well get rid of the whole offensive line because they flat out suck.  If they don't jump offsides, they will hold defenders cuz they cant block worth s***.  Nothing else has to be said Green Bay you get one really big "COME ON MAN".

  1. The North is suddenly anyways division, Vikings, Packers, and Bears all have major flaws. Simply put between the Packers o-line and running backs I just can't see them winning the division with the team they are currently putting on the field, major changes are desperately needed. The Bears have a lot of good talent, but as Cutler showed last night he is still the "hot and cold" qb he always was. No where near consistent and the WR's dont help much. As for the Vikings they have the elite running game in the NFL and are going to have to ride that all the way through the season. Their D has been playing great even with a very below average secondary. The real question is how much better are they going to be when Sidney returns. It will be a great success if they can be 3-4 or better by the end of week 8 considering the difficulty of their first 8 games.

  2. The pack sucks, enough said about that subject. I do believe I called this. Da bears 3-0, godo start, and have some easier games coming up but finish the season with some tough shit. And lastly, I'm glad the Saints won, I better stop hearing about how they are the saviors of Lil weezy anna, I might puke if I hear it again, so not true and annoying.

  4. the bears still suck colden32 its just that they suck less than the packers that whole division is wack i mean just look at that division a team that never wins a quarter back old enough ta get senior citezens benifits a team that gets more penalties than points and a team that has literally no offense and relies on special teams just pathetic nfc north

  5. I'd be the first to admit the Packers have some major flaws, from their offensive line to their inexperience at safety. But in all fairness the other top contenders in the division (Bears & Vikings) each have their own flaws as well. The Vikings and Bears both lack depth at the receiver position, and Cutler for the Bears didn't prove anything to me last night since he threw three interceptions on the game winning drive. I wasn't too surprised in the Saints Falcons game seeing how they struggled with the 49ers last week who got obliterated by the Chiefs this week. The Redskins did however surprise me this, I thought they would be able to roll over the young, inexperienced Rams without any trouble. As for the Texans... I still have no idea what to think of them, starting off the season they looked great, but from past seasons and Sundays game, this team could go either way as of now.

  6. and yet theres a good chance the NFC representative in the Super Bowl will come from the North, but that was at least a good attempt at displaying football knowledge.

  7. I disagree with your Redskins love. They've proven their weakness the last two weeks, blowing a huge lead in the 4th qtr against the also overrated Texans, and somehow being buried by the STL Lambs. I think they're a .500 team at best.

Now for the Monday Massacre. The team from Green Bay gave that game away like no team has in recent memory. There were probably 10 instances (either penalties or straight up mental errors) where if they had gone Green Bay's way, they would have likely ended up winning. Right now the o-line is still a joke, the linebackers are iffy (not including #52), and so is the secondary. They need to make an upgrade at one or several of these positions if they want to be the Super Bowl contender all the experts expect them to be. As a life long fan, I basically cried myself to sleep last night, metaphorically.

  8. Redskins i dont believe are all that good. Texans will not survive if they continue playing this way. Stl sucks. Bradford doesnt look bad but they suck. I disagree with coaching staff of the saints. You have Drew Brees use him, dont kick a field goal on 1st down. I still believe the Saints will have a good season and make the playoffs, its only one game.

Bears fans are hilarious. First off, the Packers played horrible. Their o-line is week and their running game is in shambles. Sorry to say but it is tauschers time to let go and i think cliftons to. Now on to the Bears. Wow what a win. You beat a team that had 17 penalties, well 18 but that one had no impact on the game... It came down to a last second field goal. If the Bears were even a decent team they should have kicked the crap out of the sad looking Pack. It kills me to say that but its true. Cutler is no good. Inconsistent and possible the worst mechanics ever. I mean Favre doesnt have very good mechanics either but at least he has an arm. And please Cutler dont smile to much you might complete a pass or something. the only thing the Bears have for them is an amazing defense. Thats it.

  9. glen i dont think you have any football knowlegde your obviously showing favoritism to a nfc north team, that division is terrible your gonna tell me they will beat the south or the east haha what a joke what a joke glen

  10. not offense to mikey c but anonymous your obviously a saints fan

  11. well the packers lost to a piss poor Bears team then, it doesnt really matter what you think or say about the game, it happened, Bears won of course, packer fans need to stop the crying. Its not like the Bears played well at all either. you can sit there and talk all this shit about how bad the Bears are but that just makes the packers look even worse, losing to a team that is so bad. So please keep talking about how bad they are. And saying Cutler has the worst mechanics ever is quite hilarious. And yes the Bears defense is good, and stupid players like the Packers punter makes the Bears special teams look good too which is always nice. I do beleive the Bears made it to the Superbowl with just having a good defense, and then their offense was worse than it is today, im not saying the Bears are going to the Superbowl, definitely wouldnt go that far yet.

    ReplyDelete
  12. well a_schetter your obviously a packers fan and if i were you i would not be admittin that pack sux im a eagles fan baby vick all the way holla

    ReplyDelete
  13. im not crying lol you basically restated what i said. The Packers did lose to a team that is not that great because the packers played shitty ass football. The literally looked like shit and i honestly have not seen one packer fan that doesn't agree with that. And i also agree Mathasay is a retard for kicking to hester but the packers have struggled covering kickoffs and punt returns since last year so to me that was nothing special, an explosive return man against a mediocre at best packers special teams usually results in a touch down. The packers have issues that need to be fixed if they wanna live up to the hype and be the team they are supposed to be. but that doesnt mean that the bears dont suck other then defense. And yes it is quite hilarious watching Cutler... hes just not good. And in reality any time the Packers would lose to the Bears the look like shit and embarrasses me as a Packer fan. I still love them though, but losing to that filth is unacceptable

    ReplyDelete
  14. well then anonymous i support you lol. I believe vick is the right fit for the eagles and is once again fun to watch, I have supported him since the packers.... um beat him week one. Still i am excited to see what the Eagles have to offer this year

    ReplyDelete
  15. packers only beat us man becuz we didnt have vick in the whole game if we had him in the whole time watch out you would be 1-2 man

    ReplyDelete
  16. lol IFs dont win football games touchdowns do dumbass

    ReplyDelete
  17. lol losing to filth, i guess that puts the packers below filth, not sure what word to use here then. Pack looks like shit and their fans can only say that the team they played was horrible. and unfortuantely I HAVE talked to many packer fans that just blame the loss on the penalties, saying o if we wouldnt have had these penalties we would have won. And no a good return man against a mediocre special teams does not even come close to a touchdown usually.

    ReplyDelete
  18. not true at all, the only reason Vick looked good against the Pack is because they were gameplanned for Kolb, Vick is shit and the Eagles will only finish above .500 because they play in the shitty east. The south is a good division and the saints or falcons could be super bowl contenders. Im not biased towards the north at all, i just read your dumb ass post and responded to it. The north had two teams in the playoffs last year, and neither team is even leading the division right now, that should tell you how good the north is. And no the Eagles are not contenders, they got piss pounded by the Cowboys 3 times last year and look how well the Cowboys faired when they had to play the Vikings. The south has 2 contenders and the north has 3.

    ReplyDelete
  19. mediocre at best meaning they are not good at all. And explosive not good. My post was my view, not other packer fans and i said they played like shit and were horrible, i did not once blame the loss directly on the penalties. But not that the point was made if the penalties wouldnt have happened they would have one. 30 yards worth of penalties on one drive, horrible. The reason i dont blame this directly on the penalties is because i think the o-line penalties will be tough to fix. our tackles obviosly got out manned by julius and that is a scary sight. Rodgers and his receiving core cannot win games by themselves

    ReplyDelete
  20. glen i do agree, especially since that guy is a dumbass

    ReplyDelete
  21. To be fair if the Packers didn't have those penalties they probably would have won. But were they the refs fault?? NOT AT ALL, The Packers line held every other play, were scared as shit of Peppers, and personal fouls that could have easily been avoided. Last night the Bears were the least awful team, but they still are awful. I don't see the Packers playing that bad the rest of the season with Rodgers leading the offense, but there is a lot of work to be done.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Packers still have the north. I don't see the Bears getting past the Vikings or Packers second time around. Favre is too old but the Vikings still grab a wildcard spot. Packers o-line will get figured out in the next month when MM finally figures out Clifton and Tausher are too old and get replaced with Bulaga and Lang. Packers can still go 12-4 this year as expected.

    ReplyDelete
  23. IF's dont win games, touchdowns do dumbass

    ReplyDelete
  24. exactly why i said i dont blame the penalties.....

    ReplyDelete
  25. agree mike, the saints, packers, and washington as division winners. now dont take my east claim to seriously because i honestly dont have a clue, but lets face it as of now none of the east deserves to be in the playoffs.

    ReplyDelete
  26. ya and the bears D cant win games all by themselves either, so luckily they had the Packers shit O line and dumb defense to help. I can definitely see the Packers O line getting way better, they went through the same thing last year in the beginning of the season and were MUCH better after that. and i dont see the bears getting past the packers the second time around either, but if the packers do as well as everyone thinks they are going to, then some players may be sitting cuz of playoff games to get ready for.

    ReplyDelete
  27. the east is just plain bad enough said lol

    ReplyDelete
  28. the north has three contenders glen lets be honest that has to the funniest thing i have ever heard and vick not being good man your shit is wack eagles and colts will be in the superbowl everyone knows that man

    ReplyDelete
  29. interesting we do agree on this. in order for the packers to win this season they need to develop a running game and the obvious problems with the o-line. With that said if the Bears want to continue winning, they need to get forte involved and cutler just needs to be consistent

    ReplyDelete
  30. ok time for me to get my two sense in the packers proved that they have not solved there o line problems so there out of the picture the saints need to step it up but lets be honest if we had a kicker we would be 3-0 the anonymous guy has some good points but dude vick is not god after two and a half games lets just wait and see what happens the nfc north has one contender for the superbowl and we will find out who it is when the bears meet the packers in green bay the south has two and the east none i mean come on man

    ReplyDelete
  31. luckily for the packers they wont have to face another d-line like that again. this game really highlighted the absence of ryan grant. the bears didnt have to respect the packers running game at all. at least with grant there was always a possibility of a long TD run. without him, the bears could go all out. in turn it led to false starts and holdings. mccarthy needs to figure something out like he did in 2007. if he does this team can be a super bowl contender. if he doesnt, the pack can beat a team with an average d-line but really struggle with a good d-line team. thats why the lions game is going to be more of a struggle than most would think.

    ReplyDelete
  32. yeah im soooooo impressed with their 35-32 win over the Lions, or those dangerous Jags, fucking idiot. Vick sucks dick and even if they do magically make the playoffs he will choke and throw 4 picks, but hey you are a Eagles fan, you would know all about losing in the playoffs.

  34. dude dont even start shit with me man just becuz your fucking packers suck so much dick vick right now would be mvp and he is not about to slow down bitch

    ReplyDelete
  35. hes not even a packers fan u dumbass

    ReplyDelete
  36. well then he must be a vikes fan which is even worse dumbass

    ReplyDelete
  37. mike i may be biased here but there is no way you can count the Vikings out the north yet, honestly they are pretty much in the same place as they were last year except they had a much rougher schedule to start this year. they lost to the saints and fins by a combined 9 points, AP is the best running back in the NFL this year, and Favre will learn his roll is to hand off the ball. Once Rice is back they will be dominate on offense. The only thing that would be a roadblock is if they struggle more than expected with their next 4 games as they are all good teams.

    ReplyDelete
  38. i dont like to say it but i agree with you glen

    ReplyDelete
  39. at least the Vikes can beat the cowboys. and bring Vick to the Metrodome, the Vikings front 4 would shit on Vick's face.

    ReplyDelete
  40. sorry glen cant agree with ya vikes dont look strong the only advantage they might have is that the nfc north looks like there struggling this year too

    ReplyDelete
  41. i agree that they dont look as good as they did last year, but who does? Last year the Vikings were on offensive display combined with a sack crazy D. They are a mere image of that team last year. However the Saints are no where near the team they were last year either, they had an elite passing game that couldnt be matched. Every game this year they have either had to score or get a stop on the last drive. The Packers offense found themselves in the second half of last year and in my opinion was the best team in the NFC in the second half. Now their o-line is in such a flux that they cant even block one dominant end. Not to mention the running game. My point is there is no elite team in the NFC this year and its way too early to write teams off.

    ReplyDelete
  42. alright lets just say the saints are complete shit! coaching is terrible! i mean come on your moving the ball in ot and on first down you kick the field goal? the saints running backs are shit reggie bush is so overrated! brees does not look the same as last year! the defense looks horrible! they almost lost to the damn 49ers come on now!!! totally not the same team as last and i think its really disappointing! falcons winning the

as for the packer game yeah penalties killed them bears d looks good packers passing game looks good line is terrible running game needs to improve thinking the packers should make a move bears o looks terrible cutler just does not get it done but packers will in the north

for the redskins come on you lost to the damn rams! thats horrible! eagles will take the east

texans well they just had a shitty game on offense they will shape up and make the playoffs

    saints suck dick

    ReplyDelete
  43. saints didnt suck dick win they won the superbowl last year were they lets be serious now they barely lost ne one so unless the rest of league got 600 times better the saints dont suck dick dumbass

    ReplyDelete
  44. last year is last year bro! if they barely lost anyone they should be dominating like they did last year! so its one of two things the players got worse or the coaching got worse!

    ReplyDelete
  45. And in reference to the earlier pack/bears posts i missed, Cutler has all the physical tools to be a great qb, he has a very strong arm, not too fast but mobile enough, and has a pretty decent pocket presence. The real issues with Cutler are mental. He shows absolutely no poise. With every bad pass he makes he is swearing, yelling, or has his head down. His accuracy is dependent on where his head is at. When things are rolling he can put the ball anywhere he wants, but when hes down his throws are less accurate than Bogart's shotgun snaps. He just lacks that "it" factor. I seperate the good from the average on who I would trust with the ball on the final drive of the game. Guys like Matt Ryan, Drew Brees, Rodgers, Manning, Brady, Favre (in the regular season), and then the guys who you know wont get it done, Cutler, Campbell, Romo, Eli. Sorry but the only way the Bears will go far this year is if they develop a run game to rely on instead of Cutler.

    ReplyDelete
  46. i agree with that alot actually. i hinted to that before and i dont think i realized it. He does lack footwork but most of all his emotions affect him badly i think. i dont think he has a very strong arm but if he kept his emotions together his accuracy would increase

    ReplyDelete
  47. finally your talking some sense, the vikings loss to the Dolphins was a result of Childres trying to go downfield without Rice. It's quite simple, dumb the passing game down, make the sure passes, and give AP the fucking rock. Favre is nothing special, but the coaches are making him look like an idiot out there.

    ReplyDelete
  48. what did u mean my talking some sense lol?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Schetter hate to tell you but he has top 3 arm, most experts only put Favre above Cutler.

    ReplyDelete
  50. You're doing good, Mikey C. Keep up the good work. Best wishes for your future.
