Boo or Cheer

Due to the tons of requests regarding multiple subjects in the NFL I am going to make a lil bit of a schedule.  Today were gonna talk about Mcnabb heading back ta Philly.  And then tomorrow were gonna talk about a different division in the NFL besides the NFC North ha.  Then Saturday will be the NFL Pick em which hopefully will have more comments then last week.  Alright well lets get started with tadays topic of discussion.  If you have tuned inta ESPN this week this is all the buzz Donovan McNabb heading back to Philly in a division rivalry game.  To me this one be as exciting as Favre coming back to Lambeau but its pretty close.  There are a couple things people are going to be looking at in this game.  The first one which seems to be the biggest question is how will the Eagles fans react to McNabb.  Personally I really don't have a clue what they are gonna do.  I mean these are Philly fans were talking about.  I hope they would cheer for him considering it was not his idea to leave the team.  But all in all I would go 50/50 on this subject.  McNabb was the leader of this team for 10 seasons in which he had a pretty successful career.  Philadelphia's reasoning for getting rid of him was the have Kolb take over the team and become the next franchise QB.  But now Vick has taken over and it seems that there plan did not work.  Now the next question is who is the better QB, McNabb of Vick.  Looking at the first three games most would have to say Michael Vick.  Hell I would say Vick is the better man, but McNabb has something to prove ta the Eagles which makes him a very dangerous threat.  Michael Vick does have a bit of a advantage having a much better receiving core.  McNabb is really going to have to get Santana Moss the ball and hope the run game opens up the field.  Now the last question that remains is who will win the football game.  Once all the drama is over with McNabb returning to Philly it really comes down to who has the better team.  I am going to take a shot in the dark and go with the Redskins.  I really have faith in the coaching staff and the overall team.  I believe Vick is a great player but I am just not sure if he can keep this lights out performance up for the whole season, and if there is a game where he might fall apart this could be the one.  My prediction is 28-21 Washington, its going to be close but the vet is going to pull it out.  Now its your turn to leave your opinion lets keep up the high volume of comments so tell everyone you know and lets turn this into a heated discussion.  And remember make sure to click on the ads on the right of the web page it drives traffic from other sites and gets more people to the blog.--------Mikey C

  1. These are some great point Mikey C, especcially the one about the reasoning for trading Mcnabb. Kolb was supposed to be the man, but I can't blame Reid for starting Vick after seeing the past few performances. Vick is such a dangerous weapon its unbelievable. Boo or Cheer? I know they will Boo the hell out of him, but theoretically, a pre game cheer would probably be the right thing to do. Donavan didn't choose 2 leave, nor did he retire and decide to come back. He was a very good quarterback for the Eagles for many years. Once that whistle blows, Eagles fan cheer for the Eagles and thats it. However unfortunate, Donavan is now the QB for a division rival, so the Eagles fans should treat him no different than they have any other Redskin QB. Winner: I'm going Redskins in a close one. I want Mcnabb 2 win for redemption purposes. Vick is scary as hell, but I think Shanahan and an already talented defencse can slow him down enough for a victory. High emotion game should be a great one to watch.

  3. For whatever reason, Philadelphia's fans are just jackasses. If it wasn't for the Phillies World Series win two years ago, Philly would have have zero championships since 1983. So I don't know where they get their arrogance from, and I feel sorry for Donovan McNabb for having to put up with them for so long. He's a great guy who could have had more success if he'd have had better fans supporting him. I think the rats in the stands will boo McNabb, and I hope he has a big game.

However I think the Eagles pull this one out 31-27

  4. Philadelphia...these fans (assholes) booed santa claus. i wish i was making that up. they even had the audacity to pelt him with snowballs. Truely classless to the end so i see no reason that they are going to cheer Donovan. over the last few years a lot of fans wanted to see kolb start over mcnabb. i think they give boo him pretty heavily when hes announced. they then will watch their new quarterback who they will turn on, mike vick, keep up his hot streak and win 28-17.

  5. This is the game that I want to see. Boo or Cheer? I hope they cheer him, but who knows they booed Santa. I think McNabb is going to have a really solid game and I'm going Redskins. I picked the Redskins to win the wildcard and maybe a run for the division title. and Andy Reid is going to find out pretty quickly why you don't trade your franchise QB within the division!

  6. i agree philly fans are jerks. i mean look what they did to that rays fan after they one the world series that climbed up on the stop light(Jim Rome Thank you). i hope they cheer for donovan he was a great leader and QB for thier team. why would you boo a guy who took you to a super bowl and 4 NFC chapionship games. he is a very underrated QB and he should be cheered not booed

  7. McNabb is still the better qb, but Philly is the better team. He is a class act and the fact that he will be booed is a joke.

  9. Philly fans will boo McNabb, it's been a love hate relationship between the two for a few years now. McNabb was a great quarterback in Philly and deserves to have the entire cities respect, but we all know what is going to happen. McNabb is going to play like and animal, but, as much as I want the Redskins to win, Vick will once again have a phenomenal performance. I'm going Eagles 28 Redskins 17.

  10. they booed santa at halftime of their last game in 1968. like that anonymous guy said, the fans made snowballs and threw them at santa. I have a feeling we might see a streaker at this game.

  11. wow that is too funny philly fans are messed up in the head a lil. i mean anytime your football stadium needs its own court room you know things are not right

  12. I really hope they cheer him, but i doubt it. Donovan put in many good years on as their QB and stayed on a team that was never really that amazing. Chances are the fans will boo though. Now to the game. I think philly is going to pull of the win 28-21. Vick looks electric again and i just dont think Donovan has the weapons to pull it off. It really seams like Vick and Desean Jackson have developed well, which is very scary.

  13. i am going to buck the trend i think that the skins are going to win 21-10 they are a completely different team this year with donovan at the helm of the offense and i think that thier defense is underated. plus shanahan is a better coach than reid and i think that he will have a great game plan to stop Mike Vick. its going to be a very emmotional game but i think the redskins are a better team and they will win this one

  14. I agree, it's going to be a really heated game. I think that McNabb is gonna really try and light it up after being ousted for Kolb. The Redskins will definetly have to try and keep Vick in check cus if he's left alone he can really tear up the defense. All in all this is gonna be a very good game to watch with McNabb leading the Redskins head to head with Vick's Eagles!

  17. The only reason I see the Eagles wining is because of Vick's legs and if he can connect with jackson downfield. If the Redskins win it will be on McNabb's arm, but I just see Vick to overwhelming for this defense.

  18. the thing is jon is that teams are going to start preparing for vick they have seen it three times now and teams are not going ta just go in and let vick run all over them anymore

  19. they booed santa they are gonna boo mcnabb thats just how philly fans are. If you are good while you are there they will like you, if you arent you get booed. Unfortunately if you are good but not in philly they are gonna boo the shit out of you. They will cheer Mcnabb if he messes up, but with Vick there they are happy to be rid of him now. Hes gonna get booed.

  20. Eagles are still better than the Skins. While McNabb is a good qb, theres not enough around him. I think the whole division is somewhat overrated along with the entire NFC. While the NFC caught up with the AFC last year I think the AFC took a step ahead this year again. McNabb also gets booed... Philly fans are jerks.

  21. McNabb will for sure get booed! the eagles fans are just complete asswholes like it was stated either. i think the eagles will pull away with the win tho. vick is playing like a beast right and i feel his legs and arm strength is just to much to handle. i also think that the eagles will be more ready to play then the redskins because in my eyes they got more to play for! there long time veteran qb is coming to play in your house the eagles will be pumped! so eagles 31 redskins 21

  22. Mikey C, that's a very legitimate point but can you really simulate Vick's speed? Yea you prolly can but I'm not saying he's gonna run every other play. I see Vick having 3 scrambles of 20+, which will devastate the Redskins game plan and keep them guessing every down.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Three plays for 20 plus it could happen but redskins are not goin to fall apart from that
