Vikings

I will be on vacation this weekend and unsure if i will be able to do the blog.  So throughout the weekend the blog can be used as a discussion board for any topic anyone really wants to start up.  But the topic that I would like to talk about taday is the Minnesota Vikings.  Yesterdays blog was under some scrutiny.  Apparently sharing your thoughts and opinions on how you feel about a team can really stir up a controversy.  But isn't this what it is all about, people sharing their opinions, having other people disagree and share theirs.  So let me share my opinion on the Vikings.  As we all know they just picked up Randy Moss.  Moss is way behind his usually stats already this year only having 139 receiving yards through four games.  Brett Favre has a QB rating of 60.4 and has already thrown six picks this year.  On a good note they have AP who is averaging 5.6 yards a carry with three touchdowns.  Yes getting Randy Moss will help the team, he would help any team he got put on.  Yes this makes them look like they can compete within the division now.  But no this does not make them the best team in the NFC.  And due to the claims of me being bias I will say right now that the Saints do not look like the best team in the NFC either.  Yesterdays blog was simply a look at North vs South.  And if you have any factual proof that you can show me that you believe the Saints would lose to any team in the NFC North division please put it below.  As I had stated before I will be on vacation for the weekend.  I am leaving the blog to you the readers to take care of.  As usual you can do the NFL pick em on Saturday.  And stir up any comments about anything that you want to below.  Please click on the ads the numbers are still way down on ad clicks.  I hope to see record numbers when I return, thank you.-------------Mikey C

  1. Being a Vikings fan I'm not going to get ahead of myself and start making claims and predictions. From my perspective this makes a big difference on what they can do. I wouldn't say this is the best team Moss has ever been on (07 Pats) but this is the most talented group he has ever been on. The Vikings are also very fortunate to have not played the Packers or Bears yet because they would be in a real rutt if they already had a loss to either team. How this group will gel and such we will have to wait and see. One thing I have noticed is that the Vikings seem to be building steam as the season goes where the Packers and Bears are getting derailed by injuries. The Packers are as thin as it gets at running back and the defense is starting to have key injuries as well. While the Bears are forced to start Todd Collins. As of right now I don't rate any of these three teams above each other but it will be hard pressed to win games with your stars out.

  2. I think the Vikings can win this division with Moss. There is no clear favorite, and when Sidney Rice comes back they are going to be hard to beat. Gotta agree with Glen the Packers are suffering some key injuries and the Bears are fucked without Cutler because Todd Collins fuckin sucks.

  3. Want some factual proof that the Saints could lose to any team in the NFC North? Watch yesterdays film from their loss against the Cardinals haha. Not that the Packers looked good at all, but the Saints were just as bad, so you can't say the Saints would beat anyone easily.

  4. Its clear to everyone now that the Saints and Packers are not the teams they were last year. How about those Lions wow. I was surprised. Tonights game should be really exciting to see Moss's debut.

  5. the second half of that vikings game was scary. they looked really good. moss is such a great addition. i still dont believe it puts them or anybody in the north as super bowl contenders. the packers have had devastating injuries. Hopefully A Rodge can get over his concussion quicker then Cutler did. If they can pull through the next 4 games and win two of them i think they will still have a shot for the playoffs. Lions looked really good. with the bears finally generating a run game they could also be back in the race.

  6. Favre needs to sit for a few weeks and get healthy or retire. On the last drive Percy Harvin didn't have a guy within 15 yards of him, complete that play and harvin had at least 40 yards, maybe would have taken it in. But we will never know because Favre can't get it done. Not a slight to Favre but everyone reaches that point and the NFC Championship should have been his last game. It's time for TJack to show what/if he has learned after watching the past year+.
